At different points during my childhood, I had several different ideas of what I wanted to be when I grew up.
Not once, did I ever think about becoming a Chemical Engineer. I guess at some point, I became practical and settled.
I remember watching
Top Gun and all of a sudden I wanted to become a Navy Pilot. I went to airshows, I pretended my bed was a fighter jet. I think this must have lasted for a couple years or so.
I think the strangest thing I wanted to be was to be a Rapper. Is this normal? Does everybody go through this phase?
I must have been in 3rd grade at the time and I think MC Hammer's,
Can't Touch This just came out. I was outrhyming my other friends and I really thought I had the skills. I truthfully thought I could get a record deal or a scholarship.
The rapping phase lasted all of a few days and by week's end, I went to art class and wanted to be a Sculpturer or Origami Artist.
